Sorry to hear about your friend.

Most MDS folks often weigh more due to atrophy, which is why post this surprises me, albeit that happens more with children and young adults. Adults often have a form of MDS with MS which makes them thin.

I just need to make this clear that this is fiction. None of the three people are anyone I know in person.

I don't know a lot about MDS, I do know of some individuals who are unusually small because they have never been able to develop muscles. It sounds like you know something about the disease.
